The citizen panel

Changes towards sustainable development are only successful if private individuals also make active contributions. This integration takes place at itp:ne via a citizen panel. In close cooperation with the project teams, the citizen panel team develops surveys to examine the problem, the factors influencing behavior in the status quo and the possible solutions. The findings are incorporated into the work of the projects.

Aim: To obtain meaningful results for the innovation process using a sample that is as representative as possible.

This is how the citizen panel works
Almost 2,000 people from Darmstadt and the surrounding area are currently taking part in the citizen panel. Registration is possible at any time. This creates a fixed group (“panel”) for the surveys. The citizen panel regularly invites its participants to the surveys - either online or by post. In this way, it successfully contributes to interdisciplinary analysis and transdisciplinary solution development.

That will be added in the future
In addition, in the future, the citizen panel wants to discuss individual solutions in small groups with private individuals, so-called “focus groups”.
