Align system mobility and energy networks in a climate-friendly manner

Change local infrastructures

Germany should become climate neutral by 2045. The federal government decided this following the climate protection ruling of the Federal Constitutional Court. In order to achieve this goal, the municipalities are now faced with the task of organizing a heating transition and a mobility transition at the same time. Both challenges can only be overcome with changed infrastructures: What is needed are creative solutions that contribute to climate protection, but at the same time also bring advantages for the quality of life and, in the long term, reduced costs. Examples of this are attractive regional cycling connections in the region and other offers that make it possible to be mobile in everyday life without a car. In existing buildings, local heating networks make it possible to tap climate protection potential.
