Develop transdisciplinary
Transdisciplinary collaboration
Sustainable new approaches to solutions can only be developed if science and practice work together and if the expertise and perspectives cross-fertilize each other.
The transment approach creates an integrating framework in three phases:
(A) The actors from science and practice relevant to the problem classify the problem to be treated. Through special exchange and dialogue formats, an initial impulse creates a transdisciplinary understanding of the problem and a common vision. The need for change is then concretized together in a transdisciplinary research question. This is based on a concrete idea for change: “How can ...”
(B) Building on this, actors from science and practice develop concrete solutions that have potential for System innovations have.
A pilot phase makes it possible to test the solutions, reduce inhibitions and further optimize them.
(C) If this process is successful, actors from practice take ownership and implement the answer in the “real world”.
